Southern University and A&M College supports the Essence Music Festival.
"On The Yard" is a television show that pertains to Southern University and A&M College with a twist of entertainment videos. Goldie Davenport, the current host/producer/editor, interviews southern students about current topics that are affecting them. The show is currently airing on COX channel 4 in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Lafayette at least 3 times a week. Darrell Roberson and Goldie Davenport originally starting filming the show in 2005.
